In addition to Palos Heights, we serve the communities of Worth, Chicago Ridge, Oak Lawn, Palos Hills, Palos Park, Oak Forest, Crestwood, Midlothian, Blue Island and Evergreen Park.
Massage Therapy can be used alone or as an adjunct to safe natural chiropractic care and acupuncture. We offer three types of massage.
What types of Massage do you offer?
Relaxation Massage: This massage is designed to help relieve stress and restore a sense of wellness and vitality. This includes hot moist packs to help increase circulation and relax the muscles prior to massage.
Deep Tissue: This combines elements of the relaxation massage and therapeutic deep touch. This also includes hot moist packs to help increase circulation and relax the muscles prior to the massage and deep tissue trigger point work. Due to the intense nature of this treatment, we recommend limiting this type of massage to 30 min.
Therapeutic Massage: This includes hot moist packs to help increase circulation and relax the muscles prior to the therapeutic massage that includes stretching and trigger point work. Due to the intense nature of the this treatment, we recommend limiting this type of massage to 30 min.
A few words about massage therapy. It has many wonderful benefits. When used alone or in addition to chiropractic and acupuncture treatment, if helps decrease the recovery time and helps the patient hold their chiropractic adjustments longer.
Will my insurance cover massage therapy?
Most insurances will cover massage therapy in a chiropractic setting. This must be prescribed by a chiropractic physician. Workers comp and auto insurance will cover massage therapy in addition to chiropractic care. While massage feels great, there must be a therapeutic outcome in order for your insurance to cover these service. Do I have to disrobe to get a massage?
We offer these services in a clinical, not a spa, setting. Therefore, you are not required to change however, we do recommend wearing loose fitting clothes such as t-shirts and shorts. Our therapist are very skilled at addressing your concerns and getting to the root of the pain.
How do I get started?
Call 708-371-6114 to schedule your appointment. We schedule appointments on the hour and half hour. We ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out brief paperwork. Then the massage therapist will perform an electronic muscle test to assess your muscle tone and tightness. This will help the massage therapist focus their treatment on your problem areas.
